The clearing and grubbing portion of the project is coming to a close. The project team members would like to thank the community of Escalante for their patience during the burning of the cleared and grubbed vegetation. We are well aware of the inconvenience it has placed on some community members and appreciate your understanding as we complete this necessary process in the project. ASI Constructors Inc. continues to mobilize equipment to the site in preparation of removing the existing dam which will start in April. I am sure that those of you that are still kids at heart are looking at the large equipment and thinking back to the good ol' days of Tonka Trucks and sand boxes. I know this is the case for some of you since you have stopped by the site and asked if you can "take a spin" in the equipment. We appreciate the excitement that this project has created along with everyone's willingness to help in any way they can. We welcome those that are interested in watching the project but ask that you watch from a distance. We have designated the area on the east side of the reservoir, just before you enter the Petrified Forest State Park, as the viewing area. We would appreciate this request being honored to prevent any accidents from occurring. All visitors to the project must check in at ASI Constructors office before entering the project. If you are just driving by to take a look there is no need to check in. |
