Show KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NOTES. The Salt Lake Council K. of C. have resumed their weekly meetings, the first of the season being held on Tuesday Tues-day evening. The new Wheelock player piano won by the Knights in the Tribune contest just closed will be delivered this week. All the members are much pleased at winning this fine prize, and expect to get much enjoyment out of it during the coming winter season. A smoker and stag party is scheduled sched-uled for Tuesday, the 20th, when the new piano will be installed. Lecturer Fanning is preparing a series se-ries of entertainments for the next few-months. few-months. William Bradford of Madison, Wis., was admitted by transfer as a member of the local council at last meeting. . Eureka council will initiate a class of recruits into the mysteries of the first three degrees on Sunday, the 11th. The state and district deputies from Salt Lake will officiate. A large number of the Salt Lake members are going down to participate In the work and festivities. The fourth degree, which has been announced for October 12. Columbus day. will surely be given then, and a large class, consisting of candidates from Idaho. Nevada and Utah, will receive re-ceive the honors of the degree. Degree De-gree officers from Denver, Boise and Reno will be present, and that date will be a banner day for the Knights o fthis section, it being the first time the fourth degree has been given in the intermountain region. |
