Show Woodland Mrs. L. R. Mallory is visiting with her daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd w, Clawson. Mrs. Edith Carlile has Just returned from a lovely trip to Washington, OX. She and her daughter traveled by train to their destination and then returned to Salt Lake City tv Jet. While in Washington, OX. they visited with Mrs. Carlile's son Robert. He took them on many scenic drives. One day they traveled to Norfolk, Virginia to the Naval Base there. Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Glade Jr. of Provo were speakers at the Sacrament meeting. Mr. Glade is the director of radio broadcasting and television at the Brigham Young University. Karen Springer and Jay Lloyd of Pleasant Grove sang two vocal duets. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cooley Oakley Notes Kelly Bearden from Salt Lake, grandson of Emery and Bernice Wilde, and his girl friend, Susan Smith were Sunday visitors at the home of Emery and Bernice. The town of Oakley would like to thank Trev Wilde for painting and flzlngtrash barrels for the town. Something we've really needed. We hope every one uses them. Brent Wilde and Garland Wilde packed into the Fish Lakes overnight.' They got a little wet, but fishing was good. Visiting at the hone of Florence Wilde and Buck and Betty were Myrla Wilde and children from Nebraska. They came to Salt Lake to bring their oldest son Bart to the mission home. He will leave soon for a mission to Italy. The Oakley Little League played Kamas and Marlon this week, winning both games. The Oakley Fourth of July queen, Diane Wilde and her attendants Jacky Woolstenhulme and Maxine Merchant went to Lagoon Saturday night to the rodeo. They rode in the Grand Entry to advertise for our Fourth of July celebration. Ray and Virginia Embry are moving into a new mobile home in Kamas. The people of Oakley will sure miss them and hope they will be real happy in their new home. Bill and Virginia Embry are moving up to the Ray Jones home in Oakley. They will be running the place for Jim Rhead. Joined Mr. and Mrs.MorllnVan Tassell and went for a beautiful scenic drive on Sunday. They traveled to Midway and on to Brighton and Alta. They ended up at the Mountain Meadow Ranch for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Springer and family were Sunday visitors at the Carlile Knight home. Mrs. Emily Liddell and baby son, Dennis spent some time this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Moon. Carol Kokohnen enrolled for summer school at Weber State College. She left Woodland on Monday and is enjoying campus life very much. David and Louanna Pace Williams spent two weeks visiting with their parents, Mrs. Zelma Pace and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Williams. David and Louanna have now moved to De Kalb, Minnie for the summer where he will attend the Institute of Science there. David is at the present working on his Masters Degree and teaches school in the winter in Las Vegas. Sunday visitors at the Byron Rasmussen home were his mother, Mrs. Eva Rasmussen of Orem and sister and law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lloyd and family. They all attended Sacrament meeting with Byron and Myrna. Byron and Myrna Just returned from a two week trip to Hawaii. They accompanied the Explorers from Kamas.
