Mix well and when using the dressing add plenty of whipped cream. Beet Salad. Cook ripe pears untii tender in a sugar sirup; arrange two halves of fresh lettuce and decorate with quartered blanched almonds, pushing the sharp point Into the pears. Heap a spoonful of golden mayonnaise on the side of the lettuce and serve. Pomona Jelly. Soak f a box of gelatin in f cupful of cold water. Dissolve in one cupful of boiling wa r. Add two cupfuls of sweet cider, sweeten to taste, and add a tablespoonful of ginger sirup, strain and mold. Serve with roast pork. Apple and Cabbage Salad. Shred purple cabbage very flue, mix with finely sliced and shredded apple, add a small portion of finely cut celery, a good dressing with a bit of onion Juice if desired.
