Show Zelma Leigh Weds Mt. Pleasant Man In Ceremony Here Marriage vows were exchanged ex-changed Saturday afternoon in Cedar City between Zelma Leigh, daughter of Mrs. F. V. Leigh of Cedar, and Andrew J. Frandsen, son of Mr. VV. Edgar Frandsen and the late Naomi Frandsen of Mt. Pleasant. Performing the ceremony at the home of the bride was Pres. Elwood Corry of the Cedar L D S stake. A sister of the groom, Miss Bonnie Frandsen was maid of honor and Lynn Jensen of Logan Lo-gan was best man. The bride was given away by her brother, Bryant Bry-ant Leigh. Following a wedding ceremony a reception was held in honor of the newlyweds at the home of the bride's mother. Assisting in the receiving line were Mrs. Amy Van Cott. Cedar City, and Mrs. Irene Herbert, VVatsonvllle, Calif. Serving were Mmes Elaine Jensen, Jen-sen, Fern Leigh, Norma Leigh and Miss Jackie Leigh. Mrs. Joyce leigh presided in the gift room. The bridal couple left on a honeymoon trip through the southern Utah parks, before leaving for Salt Lake City where they will make their home. The bride has attended the L. D. S Business college in Salt Lake City, following her graduation gradua-tion from the Branch Agricultural Agricultur-al college in Cedar City. She is now employed as a secretary in the Board of Regents office of the University of Utah. The groom attended schools in Mt. Pleasant before enlisting in the Marine Corps prior to the last war. He was one of the Marines Mar-ines taken prisoner in the Battle of Wake Island and was a prisoner pris-oner of war in the Philippines for four years. |
