Show Farmers Asked To Vote In ASC Elections Every eligible voter is ed to participate in the urgAgri- cultural Stabilization and Conservation ASC community and county committee elections, Franklin county ASC committee chairman, Blaine Gamble, said today. ASC community committee flections will be held the third week in September, and slates of nominees have been compiled at the ASCS county office. Ballots have been mailed to agricultural producers known to be eligible to vote in Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation committees. Any resident of the county who is eligible to take part in the farm programs administered by the ASCS office is eligible to vote. This applies without regard to sex, race, color, religion, or national origin. Mr. Gamble reminded farm voters that two envelopes accompany each ballot. After u voter has marked his ballot, he should fold it and seal it in the plain envelope. The plain envelope should not be signed by the voter because it's purpose is to insure secrecy of the ballot. After scaling the ballot in the plain the voter then envelope should put the plain envelope second envelope into the which is addressed to the Franklin County ASCS office, and seal it. He should immediately sign his name on the back of this envelope on the line indicated; fill in the date; then mail the envelope. With his signature, the voter certifies he voted his ballot personally without undue influence, and without the certifying signature the ballot cannot be counted. Signing the outer envelope in no way affects the voter's right to a secret ballot. These ballots must be mailed or delivered to the ASC county office no later than Sept. 19, 1969.
