The car on which Gallaher was riding is owned by Phillip Kirk of Tooele and was being driven by Barbara Cushman of Tooele. Other occupants of the machine were John Booth of Huntington and June Kirk Foth-eringh- am of Tooele. Fotheringham was driving toward Price at the time of the accident, while the Kirk car was traveling in the opposite direction. When the two cars met, the Ford struck Gallaher, breaking his neck and leg and causing a concussion of the brain. The other persons escaped with minor injuries. Gallaher was rushed to the Price city hospital, but died while being placed on the operating table about an hour after the accident. According to the report of the investigation made by Sheriff S. M. Bliss, the Kirk automobile was about three feet over on the wrong side of the highway. 345; - e.
