Mr. Rose had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Mae John son of Tremonton for the past three months. He was born August 14, 1882 in Hyrum, Utah, a son of Ole Hansen and Anna Christina Hansen Rose. He was reared and educated in Hyrum. He married Vilate Hansen of Hyrum in 1905. He homesteaded a farm in Pocatello Valley and lived in Malad. His wife died in May 1944 and was buried in Hyrum. Mr. Rose has always been a faithful member of the L D S church. Survivors include the following sons and daughters: Irvin L. Rose, Duane B. Rose, Veneta R. Smith all of Soda Springs, Mrs. Lucille Sorenson, Hyrum; Bar-loW. Rose, and Gean E. Rose of Malad, Mrs. Ethel Mae Johnson, and Mrs. Donna E. Abbott of Tremonton. Mrs. Marlene S. San Scott, Calif.. Francisco, B. Rose Garland, Gloy B. Baby Dies At Birth Linda Bowcutt, infant daughter of Veran and Margaret Smith Bowcutt of Wellsville, died in a local hospital Thursday at birth. Burial was in the Wellsville cemetery on Friday. Surviving are the parents, three brothers, Ralph Charles and Gordon, and one sister, Sharon. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ora K Smith of Wellsville and Mr and Mrs Chas. L. Bowcutt of Ogden. Wil-helmi- na Bishop W. W. Thomas conducting. Burial was in the Hyrum cemetery. LA MAR BAXTER IN KOREA FIFTH AIR FORCE, Korea Pvt. Robert LaMar Baxter, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs John B. Baxter of Hyrum, Utah was a recent arrival at Kimpo Army "Air Field near Seoul, the Korean capital. He has been assigned as a clerk in the orderly room of the 308th Bomb Wing Headquarters Squadron here at Kimpo. He entered the service in April, 1946 and received his training at Buckley Field, Colorado. He is a graduate of the South Cache High School in Hyrum. He was shipped overseas in September, 1946 to join the occupation forces in Korea. OPERATION William S. Passes Away services for Andreas Monson 91, respected Hyrum resident was held in the Third ward chapel on Thursday at 1 p m. An account of the services will be in the next issue of the Courier. Mr. Monson was born January 24, 1855, in Eslove, Sweden, and came to the United States 59 years ago. For a short time he lived in Minesota, then moved to Millville for a year before coming to Hyrum to make his home. He married Annie Swenson, who passed away on June 1, Funeral 1936. Mr. Monsons three chil- survive him. They are Magnus and Henry A. Monson, Hyrum, and Nels Monson, Brigham City. There are also 12 grand children and 17 great grand children. The deceased is the oldest and last surviving member of a family of seven children. He had followed the occupation of a fardren mer. His body was at the home of his son, Henry A.
