A It PERMANENT FUND AND IND A I UNIFORM SCHOOL FUND FOR Fon TIlE THE COMMON AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah two-thirds two of all the members elected to each house concurring therein SECTION 1 That it is proposed to amend section 3 of oC Article 10 of the Constitution of the state of Utah as amended by the vote of the tho electors at the general election of 1030 1930 to read as follows Sec 3 3 The proceeds of the sales of ot all lands that have been or may hereafter be granted grante by the United States to this state for lor tho the support of the common schools and five he per of the net proceeds of the sales of United States public lands lying within the state an and sold by the United States subsequent to tho the admission admission admission ad ad- mission of this te st into the Union shall bo be and remain a permanent fund to be called the State School Fund Fond the interest t of which only shall be expended for Cor the support of f the common common common com com- mon schools The interest on the State School Fund tho the proceeds of all nil property property property prop prop- erty that may accrue to the state by I escheat or forfeiture all unclaimed shares and dividends of an any corporation corporation corporation corpora corpora- II tion incorporated under the laws of this state the proceeds of the sales of timber and the proceeds of the sale or other disposition of minerals or other property from school and state lands other than those granted ranted for specific purposes shall with such other revenues as the Le Legislature may i from time to time allot thereto constitute constitute constitute con con- I a n fund to be known as the I Uniform School Fund which Uniform School Fund shall be maintained Constitutional Amendment No 2 RATE OF TAXATION TAXATION PURPOSES PURPOSES DISTRIBUTION A 1 JOINT RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 7 ARTICLE XIII OF THE CONSTITUTION CONSTITUTION CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF UTAH RELATING TO THE TIlE RATE OF TAXATION PURPOSES AND DISTRIBUTION Be it by the Legislature of the tho State of Utah two-thirds two of all of the members elected to each house concurring therein SECTION 1 That it is proposed to amend section 7 of oC Article 13 of the Constitution of oC the state of Utah as amended by the vote of the electors atthe at atthe atthe the general election of 1930 to read as follows Sec 7 7 The rate of oC taxation on tangible tang property shall not exceed on each dollar of valuation two and four- four tenths mills for general state purposes two tenths of one mill for high school constitute the purposes urpo es which shall high school fund Cund said furd shall be apportioned in the minner the Legislature Legis Legis- Le in 10 favor thereof in such manner as may be provided by law SECTION 2 The secretary of oC state is directed to submit this proposed amendment to the electors of oC the state in in the next general
