All who see the place for the first time have expressed their sur prise at its neatness and the facilities it affords for oat-dopleasuring. The general verdict is that it beats tbe Garfield resort very much in attractiveness. A dance is given at the resort each Wednesday and Saturday evenings of each week. Messrs. McClellan k, Drake, the livery firm, run a hack to and from the resort continually, charging 25 cents per round trip. Splendid music is furnished on all special occasions and by every terpischorean party by the Opera House Band. The afternoon of the Fourth of July will be a great occasion at the resort. DUNN the kiss was a surprise whereby she was thrown into a state of nervous prostration and was incapacitated for household duties for a number of weeks. The defendant admits the kissing, but says that he regarded her as his child, claiming that the kiss was a simple surprise and act of affection. New York is getting an unenviable reputation abroad in regard to the ignorant blunders of its men in the exercise of the rare privilege of kissing. It is not long since Baby Bunting Arbuckle had to come down with $45,000 for blunders committed in kissing BUnnie Campbell. The case of the Ontario woman Is not surprising. Any man who will commit the unpardonable sin of kissing a woman on the left or any other cheek when the mouth, so full of electric thrill and bliss, is so near and ready, deserves everybody's contempt. He has the scorn of the women already. No woman will ever forgive a man for kissing her on the cheek unless some unremovable obstruction covers the elysian spot nature has fitted with all the proper appliances fur kissing. A woman knows what are her rights and privileges, and she expects a man to do his whole duty circumstances. under some If he fail to plant a kiss where it will do the most good, then he may expect to take the consequences. The women expect men to take advantage of the blessings providence throws in their way, and when a sweet pair of lips are near and tbe harvest is ripe, or the coast clear, which is the same thing, they expect us to make hay while the sun shines, as it were. This Ontario man neglected his opportunities and that in a manner no woman can be expected to forgive. Nature has provided a womans mouth with a battery of electrical bliss, and the month alone must be operated on to fire the spark. This the Ontario man failed to do and he must pay for his blunder. She says it was such a surprise to her that she was prostrated and unable to do any household work for several weeks. This Is but natural. Had he socked that kiss on the kisser instead of on the cheek he would not have prostrated her. Women have been known to express surprise at a thrilling, soulful kiss suddenly but feelingly and earnestly planted where it ought to be, but they have never been prostrated for more than a few seconds. And then a repetition of the offense seemed to steady the nerves and strengthen the patient so that she was enabled to endure an number of prolonged shocks of the same kind in the coarse of a few hours. This Ontario man failed to recognize this fact and will have to pay for it. Then his defense Is worse if possible ne claims that he regarded her as his child. If there are moments when woman doesnt wish to be treated as your child, and there are such moments, it is when providence so shapes things that a mans only duty is to kiss her promptly and properly. This is what the Ontario man failed to do Any jury will award that woman the $200 damages, and if the man will look at it in the proper light, and as the woman undoubtedly ex pects him to look at it, he wil consider his money well spent in learning the lesson.
