Show Jaycees Prepare For Awards Banquet The officers of the Junior Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce are busy preparing prepar-ing for the annual Awards Banquet, most important event of the year for the organization. The banquet will be held at the Escalante Hotel on Wednesday, January 16th., at which time the Distinguished Service Ser-vice Award will be presented to the younR man of Cedar City who has rendered the greatest civic service to his community during 1945. Tlie selection of the recipient of the award has been made, but his mine will be kept secret until the mament the presentation is made. a special committee composed of C. L. Ewlng, chairman; Dr. R. W. Farnsworth. L E. Tueller, Albe-t Albortson, David L. Sargent, and Morgan Rollo, was named to select the young man who Is to receive the award. The committee's report has been filed and has been accepted by tho local organization and by the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce. Details of the banquet meeting will be announced In the near future. |
