The release announced that former local resident, Curtis Ray DeGraw, now living in Woburn, Massachusetts, graduated Cum laude in General Studies with an AB in History on Thursday, June 10, 1993. These youth are sent to the Center for behavioral problems or special ed instruction. tutoring or to assist with Community volunteers are needed to provide recreational activities or arts and crafts projects. Volunteers are mostly needed to work with youth ages 12 to 16, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Case Manager Randy Glasscock said, "All of our classes have a special ed teacher, but tutoring., If someone were interwe have a class right now that really needs ested but could only tutor an hour or so once a week, that would be fine. We just really need volunteers who are dependable, consistent and who respect confidentiality." Volunteers can choose or set their own schedule. Experience working with special ed is helpful but not required. One volunteer started volunteering purely for the purpose of receiving school credit. After the semester was over, she continued volunteering because she felt good knowing she was making a difference.
