Show Funeral Services Held Tuesday for Alma E. Gardiner Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary for Alma E. Gardiner, who died Friday, after a long illness. Bishop Karl Butler conducted the service. J. A. West offered the invocation, followed by a vocal trio who sang "They Found Him in the Temple," Bliss Brimley, Evelyn Hilton and Pearl Gourley, accompanied accom-panied by Carla Haynie. Speakers who spoke highly of the departed and offered words of faith and encouragement to his family were Donna Ash and Harold Har-old Bullock, former Bishop of the First Ward. A vocal solo, "In My Father's House Are Many Mansions" by Gaylen Harman, was accompanied by Nelda Harman. Cloosing remarks were made by Bishop Butler after which Mr. Harman sang the closing number, "O My Father." Harold Walker pronounced ben-edictation ben-edictation and Lewis E. Olpin offered of-fered the dedicatorial prayer at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert, Max Floyd, Wayne and Dean Gardiner' and Gaylon Harman. Flowers were arranged and cared for by the Grove Ward Relief Society. Mr. Gardiner was born in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove April 2, 1902 to John W. and Annie Nichols Gardiner. He received his education in the schools of Pleasant Grove and on Aug. 25, 1921 married Jane Tol-man Tol-man in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Dec. 13, 1929. Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Boyd Gardiner, Salt Lake City; Bill Gardiner, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, and Arlean Seybolt, Orem; 9 grandchildren; also two sisters and three brothers, Hattie G. Healey of California; Tillie Healey and John Gardiner of Salt Lake City, and otaert Gardiner of Pleasant Grove. |
