Show EKqtante News By Marlene Haws 826-4859 What a holiday! Seems that almost al-most everyone in town has had the flu. And those who haven't can feel mighty lucky! The Shakespear boys, (Ed and Camille's) got a new trampoline for Christmas, but Dallon's fun was short-lived when he fell off and broke his arm in two places. So now he has a conversation piece and can collect autographs on his cast. Russell and Carol Sorensen and Areola Gates came from St. George on Christmas day to see Jim and Margo Smith. Areola went back the same day, so I didn't get any news from her. Thelma Marsh had daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Warren Woolsey over from Cedar City for a day. Warren is now an LDS Stake President in that area so he is pretty busy these days. Sondra Stracener, Lehi, came Christmas day to stay overnight with her mother, Velma Boulter. Gene and Thais Griffin had all of their family home. Mark Griffin and four children came from St. George; Gary and Sheila Griffin and two daughters came from American Fork and daughters Melanie Alvey came from Las Vegas and Stephanie Alvey from St. George. Melvin and Florence Alvey had their daughters and families Lucinda and Neuman Duncan, Cedar City and Helen and Rick Pruitt, Richfield here for two or three days. Jon and Jillyn Sorensen and family came from Salina on Christmas day to spend a week at the Klyn Haws home. Their baby girl, Devin Rae, was given a name and blessing by her great-grandfather, S tarns Mecham, in LDS Sacrament meeting while they were here. Garna Mclnelly and daughter Brenda came from Beaver to spend a day with Ivan and Nelda Willis. Ivan and Nelda are about the only ones I talked to who haven't had the flu, so I hope they stay healthy. |
