It is a historical novel about Ruth of the Old Testament. Ruth thought her life was over. Widowed and penniless, penni-less, she despaired of anything any-thing better than poverty and grief living in Moab among her dead husband's people. And one man in this new place had honor and virtue beyond measure. The widower Boaz taught Ruth, and all who met him, what loving the Lord could really mean.
