Show Mrs- Hyrum Farnsworth Died Sunday in California J. B.' Staker, Sr., was advised last Monday by telegram of the death at Gridley, Calif., Sunday night, of his sister, Mrs. Josephine Staker Farnsworth, 69, wife of Hyrum Fariv-worth. No details were wired regarding the funeral services, but it was thought that they would be held at Gridley. Mrs. Farnsworth was born in Mt. PleasantMarch 11, 1864, the daughter daugh-ter of Nathan and Eliza Cussworth Burton Staker, who came to Utah in the Martin handcart company. The parent", rad lived first at A-merican A-merican Fork before coming to Mt. Pleasant. After her marriage to Mr. Farnsworth, Farns-worth, who was the son of George Farnsworth, pioneer of '59 and early tihting clerk in Mt. Pleasant, she spent some time on a larm neai Gunnir.on before removing to Mar-ysvale, Mar-ysvale, Idaho. From there the family moved to Gridley, Calif., where It has since resided. Surviving, besides the husband, are one brother, Mr. Staker; two sisterr.. Mrs. Eliza Jane Day and Mrs. Ellis Day Wilcox, both of Fair-view; Fair-view; two daughters, Lodica and E-liza, E-liza, of California, both married; six sons, Hyrum, George, Nathan, Lavor, Earl and Arthur, all of Grid-ley. |
