Students of all degress of advancement may attend the summer classes, Mr. Winn pointed out, but the principal interest will be focussed upon students who were 5th and 6th graders last year and are beginners in music. This program of study will afford an opportunity to prepare for membership in the band or orchestra of the junior high and later in the senior higfl. Parents who are interested in having their children participate in band or orchestra are urged to take advantage of this opportunity for initial instruction. Since, at the present time, there is no instrumental music taught in the grade schools, this course becomes the means th r o u g h which entry into junior and senior high school band and orchestra can be assured.
