For a long time she didn't B fj fjf fare particularly well, but the other flame came H '' : to and now people are guessing about the finish. BB & & HB ( jfl ' It is murmured that the misunderstanding B ; ; and his subsequent decline started in a similar B ( j J f, manner to the famous Clark case, where the hus- B i ijjj ' band returning horn found the wife wearing a B tl i j large bunch of violets, and the other man's shirt B ' ji, front stained with the purple blossoms. B ' j l Although the guest .of honor, Mrs. Luellwitz B 1, M i was ill and could not be present, the luncheon Bi J M .given by Miss Dern at the Alta club was quite the Bfj j j J ' prettiest affair of the kind ever seen in the pri- K " $ ' vate dining room, 'which means much, as many H, 'fflj elegaut affairs have been given there. The table )BBI 3 j ! was arranged with a hollow square, the guests ' , setting outside and having a chance to feast 1 their eyes on the decorations as well as feasting i in other ways.
