Show I Thursday, November Golden Weddin gof Judge and Mrs. G. A. Wall and Mrs. Hyrum Timothy a gave supper and social last Thursday night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Wall. The occasion being the Gulden Wedding: anniversary of Mr. Wall and his wife. Mr. Wall has been one of the most active and best respected men that the city of Lehi has had the opportunity of gaining. Mr. Wall was not born here but came here in 1882, the Eame year marrying Miss Hannah Clark. They have spent their life since then living in Lehi and boosting for Lehi. Mr. Wall was the son of William Wall who will be remembered as the first sheriff in Utah County, a bishop of Provo and of h Heber, and was the bishop of at the time of his death. There is probably pretty strong foundation to the story that Mr. Wfells father (Wnu Wall) had the honor of a township being named after them, Mr. Walls-burg- Wiallsburgh. Mrs. Wall was the daughter of William and Jane Clark of Lehi. Mrs. Wall has spent 41 years as an active worker in the Relief Society. The old saying "like father like son" applies in this case for altho-WilliaWall was active his son was equally as active and more so. Mr. Wall served as a Wlard Teacher In the church for SO years. He served 11 years as city road supervisor, 4 years as county road supervisor and has served for the past three terms as city judge Mr. Wall has been a farmer and livestock raiser all his life, and from these occupations he has gained respect as well as a living. LEHI SCHOOL ELECTION DEC. 7. With the national election a thing of the past the coming school election may give local politicians and citizens a chance to work off the surplus energy that has been evident during the past month in and around town. School election for the Alpine School District will be held Wednesday, December 7, any qualified taxpayer in the district may run as a school board member. If an individual wants to send in his own name he must send in a certified request 15 days previous to the election date or not later than November 21 to the school district clerk. If a person files a nomination for some one else he must lend a petition signed by qualified voters of the district in which he lives, to the district clerk 15 days prior to the election date.
