Show Stauer (Haunty Sfomtnt MAY 29, 1997 4-- Beaver Slake Pine Wood Derby Delegates H The Beaver Stake PineWood Derby run-owas held March 22, 1 997 at the Beaver 1 st Ward Cultural Room. Winners from all eleven Wards in the Stake met to determine Stake Champion and consolation winners. ff :" v- h . - r - Li r Cherstie Bealer Ashlee Dotson Ashlee Dotson, daughter of Nick and Colleen Dotson of Beaver and Cherstie Bealer, Conference in daughter of Scott and Grace Bealer of Minersville recently attended National D C. were chosen as delegates through an interview process in which 5 were Washington They chosen from a field of 13. They represented the State of Utah in a Nation wide conference. They attended the conference for nine days where they were trained to be the future leaders of tomorrow. Ashlee will represent Utah on the Media Awareness Team and Cherstie will represent Utah on the National Strategic Direction Team for the next year. Both girls will be helping teach younger at Jr. Youth Conference at Snow College in June. They enjoyed the experience and appreciated the opportunities. They would like to thank Beaver County and the Extension Service for sponsoring them. They would also like to thank Circle 4 Farms for their contribution. Cherstie was recently selected to be a State Ambassador for the coming year. She completed a three month project to promote the "Character Counts" program in Beaver County. She also completed an extensive interviewing in order to be selected as one of the 9 Ambassadors throughout Utah. mmmtmmmmmmmmm 4-- H Championship Winners: 1st Place - Michael Kanell, son of Leo and Melissa Kanell; 2nd Place -Clay Craw, son of Neil and Marianna Craw; 3rd Place: Trevor Hunt, son of Jeff and Rose Hunt; 4th Place - dusty Jimenez, son of Jerry and Kathy Jimenez. 4-- H 4-- H Historical Wax Museum' Minersville 6th Grade students finished their World Culture class by presenting a wax museum for the community and fellow students. Mrs. Bunker said the students were allowed to choose any character they had studied in during the year. The students wrote a placard about their character and made props and backgrounds. Roman soldiers, on guard at the door, summoned the classes to the show. Displays were in arranged chronological order.
