Show A BILL amending Sac tiona 2160 2169 and 2170 of the compiled laws of 0 utah of 1888 relating to intoxicating liquors SECTION I 1 be it enacted by the 1 he governor and legislative asse ok 04 lite territory of utah that section 2160 of the laws of utah of 8 be and the enne same is hereby 9 mended to read as follow follows sec See 2160 S 6 5 any person who shall knowingly give se ferson 1 or other oke sike dispose ot of any intoxicating drink to an indian insane or idiotic person licensed as hereinafter provided or any other person who shall tor for compensation knowingly give asell sell or otherwise dispose of 0 any drink to any minor or who shall permit any of said persons to be and remain in his place of business where liquors are sold without the written consent of the parents or guardians thereof or who shall give sell or otherwise dispose of any intoxicating drink to any person who is know in the com community in n which he resides to ba be an habitual drunkard shall be guilty of misdemeanor sec seca 2 that section 2169 of said laws law a is hereby amended to read as ful luus sec 2169 8 1 it hall shall be unlawful for any person either licensed or unlicensed to sell five give away or in any manner cirp we of directly or indirectly any spirituous vinous or other intoxicating liquors on any part of any day set apart or to be set apart spart for any election elect toa for any territorial county municipal district or precinct officer except school trustees in any election precinct or district in any of the counties or municipalities in tavi territory except fur for medical purposes ies upon the prescription of a physician phy clan any person violating the provisions provision of thi this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor SEC 13 T that I 1 tat section 2170 of said la laws a is is hereby amended to read as follows section 2170 any physician who shall issue to any person a prescription to abrain auy any intoxicating liquors at any time when the sale or disposal thereof shall have been forbidden by law shall certify on bald raid prescription that the health of the pe son to whom hom the prescription is issued requires and would be promoted by the particular kin kind aro of liquor prescribed any physician who shall issue any prescription for intoxicating liquors contrary to this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor sac saca 4 this act shall take effect upon its approval approved march 12 1890 |
