The latest information received at club headquarters Is that there will be no top made by clubwomen from the coast in Salt Lake on their way to the biennial meeting. The plans to be made for the entertainment of these clubwomen as first announced will be dropped. , In local club circles the most Important event of the week will be the annual meeting and election of officers of the Ladles Literary club to be held Friday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the clubhouse. Reports of efficers and chairmen will be read. A tea and social hour will follow the business program. Mrs. Ira D. Travis Is the only candidate for the position of president, Mrs. J. C. Ilanchett's name was posted for the position but she withdrew In favor of Mrs. Travis. The other nominees are as follows: First rice president, Mrs. W. JL Ferguson. Mrs. C. c. Callow and daughter Miss Frances and son Michael will leave the latter part of the month to attend the commencement exercises of Vassar, when their daughter Miss Bessie Callow will be graduated.
