Grantsville Youths Attend Range Camp EPHRAIM CANYON - "I wanted to find out other opinions on range management. Well, I decided coming to this camp might help me to understand what my forest ranger father is always talking about. It was a chance to learn about different plants and also an opportunity to get out of baling hay. These were typical statements made by the twenty youths, including two from Tooele County, who participated in the first annual Youth Range Camp held at the Great Basin Experimental Station in Ephraim Canyon. THE TWO youths from Tooele County were brothers, Norris and Neil Critchlow, the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Critchlow. Norris, 15, and Neil, 16, are both students at Grantsville High School. Both boys enjoy the outdoors EAST SIDE CAFE Is Now Under New Management Stuart (Van) aniil Annette Van Buren AreJheJNew They would fite to invite dll tiieir friends to come in and enjoy BREAKFAST, LUNCH, or DINNER! Busby, along with John Vallentine, range science professor at BYU, planned and directed the camp activities. Assisting with lectures, demonstrations and tours were representatives of Snow College, the Forest Service, Agriculture Research Services, and local ranchers. It is hoped that each youth went away with a better awareness of our natural resources and the role they play in range management, commented Busby.
