Show 378 fewer enrolled in summer program There are also 581 evening residents res-idents off campus, 767 in the Children's Chil-dren's Program, 271 in Adult Ed-. Ed-. ucation, 74 in Secretarial Training and 79 in the Technological Institute. President James C. Fletcher has received a report on the summer enrollment of the students attending at-tending the University. It covers registration up until July 25, 1969. According to the report, the total number of students registered regis-tered for the 1969 summer quarter is less than that of 1968. There are 8,233 registered for 1969 compared to the 8,302 in 1968. The daytime registration of 7,171 is 378 fewer than were enrolled in the day program last summer. However, night registration is 1,062 for 1969 as compared with the 853 in 1968. Last summer 354 entering freshmen fresh-men were reported as enrolled in contrast to the 181 enrolled this year. The actual number of first quarter freshmen enrolled is difficult diffi-cult to determine since high school juniors and seniors enrolled in special classes receiving University Univer-sity credit are coded as freshmen. There are 201 transfer students enrolled at the University compared com-pared to last year's 221, 588 re-'admission re-'admission students as to the 618 registered last year, and 4,567 continuing education students enrolled en-rolled in contrast to the 4,346 students registered in 1968. |
