Show the breary laid to rest the obsequies over the remains of the late sister jane ann wadsworth wife of elder james wadsworth were held iu in the second ward meeting house on monday evening april 23 1883 the ser vicca vim were conducted by bishop robert A large number were in attendance to pay their respects to the memory of a valued departed friend after singing the opening hymn by the choir prayer braver was offered by elder thomas doxey another M hymn n wag was then bung sung after which lid elder r joseph ila hall 11 delivered the funeral discourse the benediction was then pronounced by patriarch samuel S a in uel eggle eggleston s ton the rhe cortege was then formed formea and took up its march to the cemetery and tho the remains were deposited in the narrow arrow home where the weary reat from their earthly toils jane ann wadsworth was the daughter of william chudd and harriet hamilton she waa wu born at bishopton Bis Bisbo hopton scotland nov nor 1805 she was baptized into the church christ of latter day saints at bolton england march 1840 she emigrated to in 1846 on the eth of april of the bame year eha she was married to james wadsworth after the expulsion of the latter day saints from nauvoo she removed to st louis sister wadsworth remained there till 1850 when she came to utah and settled in E T city tooele thoele county where she resided with her husband until 1873 when they came to ogden Cit yand has since bince resided here sister wadsworth waa was president of the ladies relief society of E T city and when ahe left there the members presented her with a tea service and other testimonials of their affectionate regard for her oa on the day of the obsequies the ladies relief society of the second ward of thia this city met at the mortuary residence formed a procession and followed with the mourners to the meetinghouse she leaves a wide circle of friend friends in whose memory her virtues will live |
