Stupid, Senseless Act! On Sunday, Jan. 29, 1995, 1 had a horse shot and killed in my field east of Roller Mill Hill. I placed a $1,000 reward notice in the Garfield County News and a reward poster on the bulletin board at the Panguitch Post Office. There are many articles of information posted on the bulletin board, some have been there for many months. We stapled the reward poster on the bulletin board to make sure it would be secure. But apparently the person or persons responsible for shooting the horse in my field didn't appreciate the reward poster so they removed it. Every person who commits a crime makes mistakes, and usually down the road they will trip themselves up. I will be there when this happens. I have a very good idea who committed this stupid senseless act, and they know it or they would not have removed the poster. There have been other instances of animals being shot in the Panguitch area, also vehicles being shot at right in the city limits. Someone out there knows who is doing these shootings and it only takes one persons to come forward to stop this and maybe save a life of another animal or possibly a human life. I am definitely not an advocate of gun control. But I am an advocate of controlling the idiots who abuse the use of guns. LaMar Jolley Panguitch, Utah
