notice to contractors bountiful city utah june 5 1914 sealed proposals addressed to the bountiful city Rc recorder order and endorsed proposal for grading 0 and removing fences and furnishing ishin c and laying kayin cement pipe in sidewalk extension no 2 said extension bein being on both sides of first north extending from center of third west street to center of fourth east street bountiful city utah will be received until 8 p in june 27 1914 and at that time lime will be publicly opened and read each bidder gustl must make a personal examination of the work to be done all bids must be made on blank forms obtained from the bountiful city recorder must have prices proposed both in writing and in fl figures agures gures and be signed by the bidder with his address each bid must be accompanied by a certified check of 5 per cent of the amount of the bid payable to bountiful city said check to be returned to the bidder unless he fail to execute the contract should it be awarded to him A bond of 50 per cent of the amount of the bid will be required for the faithful performance of the contract the sureties to be residents of utah and satisfactory to the bountiful city council the person or persons to whom the contract way may be awarded will be required to appear before the bountiful city council with the sureties offered by him or them and execute the contract within ten days from the date of notification of such award and in preparation and rw readiness dinesS for signature of the contract and in case of failure or neglect to so do he or they will be considered as bavin having n abandoned it and the check accompanying the proposal alwill will be forfeited to Bountiful city all bids will be compared on the basis of the en engineers inders estimate of the quantities of work to be done which is as follows a cubic yards excavation b cubic yards excess embankment ban kment c 50 feet of 15 inch concrete pipe d removal and resetting of linear feet of fence these quantities are approximate only and the bountiful city council expressly reserves the ri right 0 ht of increasing 0 ing 0 the same as may be deemed necessary by its en engineer ineer this advertisement is to be construed with and made a part of the contract plans and prof profiles iles may be seen and specifications and forms of proposal and contract obtained at the office of the bountiful bountiful city recorder at bountiful y city ity the bountiful city council reserves the right to reject any and all bids should it to be for the interest of bountiful city to do so witness my hand and the official seal of bountiful city utah this ath day of june A D 1914 JOSEPH KYNASTON seal city recorder
