Margaret Strom-berSherry Williams, Elizabeth Mathis, Shirley Smith, Karen Wilson, LaVera Imlay and Joan Poll returned home Wednesday from a week spent in girls camp at Camp Lomandi. Carolyn Poll and Ansta Coleman spent weekend there too. Darlene Ray, and Judy Williams have been acting as camp counselors for three weeks. TWINS! Girls! Born to Mr. and Mrs. Kay Carver of Idaho Falls, Idaho on Aug. 17 were twin girls weighing 5 lbs. 14 oz. and 6 lbs. 10 oz. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ray are the proud grandparents. This is the first set of twins on both sides of the family. Mattie left Tuesday morning to spent a few weeks there with the Carver fam-ilj. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Poll, Lynn and Margie spent Wednesday through Friday fishing up at Beaver Creek. MR. AND MRS. Herman West-brocand family have enjoyed having Mr. and Mrs. Don Burnett and their family in from California visiting with them and other members of their family. On Monday evening all the Westbrock Girls and their families enjoyed a family outing at the Herman Westbrock home. Barbeque and corn on the cob and all other trimmings were enjoyed. THE LADIES Club met at the home of Peggy Hill for their August night out. Lunch was served afterwhich the evening was spent Corkey. Seven boys, Vern Peek, David Handrahan, Steven and John Johnston, Charles Poll, Dennis Waters, and Clark Smith spent last Wednesday at Camp Kiesel. There they took a five mile hike, cooked their dinner and went rowing in boats along with other boys and advisors. The wards summer party will be hel don August 29. Time for starting will be at 4 p.m. There will be games, races, and refreshments will be sold. Plan to come buy your supper and have a good time. MR. AND MRS. Link Smith and Douglas, Sally and Cindy spent five days on a fishing trip up and around Randolph. They had a very restful and enjoyable trip. The boy scouts spent three days up on Monte having a good time. They played ball, hiked, rested and filled some requirements for merit badges. The advisors were Joseph Ray, Eddie Shaw, Evan Stark and Alford Peek. The boys were Douglas and Brent Poll, Richard and Dale Ukena, Wayne Stkrk, Steven' Johnston, Jimmy Cook, Ricky Rupe, Souglas Waters, Nolan But, Lewis Ritter, Ivan Ray and Gary Murray. GEORGE, Jake, Cecil, LeRoyand Calvin Kapp and Willis Mower spent a few days in Wyoming around Cooks Lake fishing. Fishing was fine and they had a good time hiking and riding horse back to the lake. NORMA JEAN and Keith Kap went to Spanish Lork for a visit with her folks. Carl Banks returned to his home with them. Thayne and Lynn Banks came to South Weber for a visit with the Kap family. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Smith and family journeyed to Oakley, Idaho for a few days during the week to attend a wedding vi.i with ILi berts folks. Mr. and Mrs. John Combe have ventured into a business of running to Town and Country Drive-I- n up on Harrison Best of luck to you and the Valley Archery which is operated by the Norman B'anches here in South Weber. A fathers and sons outing was held last week at Brigham City, The fathers campel out with their boys and had a grand time. Three of our boys recently returned from the Socotwa Seminary trip to the Pageant at Hill Cumor-ah- . While they were at the Sacred Grove they met Steven Richeson and had a talk with him. He was very pleased to see them. He stated that he was enjoying his mission very much. Wayne and Carol Ole-so- n were also attending the pageant but the boys were there at a different time and did not get to see them. Kenneth Loveland, Clifford Fisher and Lee Thurgood were recently appointed members of the Adult Aaronic Priesthood Committee. Previously Kenneth and Clifford served in the Seventy presidency and Lee as teacher of the Gospel Doctrine Class in Sunday School. We wish them happiness in their new positions. JAN Montgomery, Jim Thurgood and Glenn Oleson returned on Saturday afternoon from their Seminary trip to historic places in the history of the LDS church and also places of importance in U. S. history. They had a wonderful time. They also learned a good deal about the places visited as they had a two hour study period each day to learn about the places visited. Some of the places they enjoyed seeing most besides Nauvoo, Carthage Jail, Hill Cumorah, etc., were the home of Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer museum, Beck Tathers home They went swimming and caught clams in the Mississippi River. They were stung by jelly fish in the Atlantic ocean. They went swimming' in the Great Lakes They especially enjoyed Washington DC. and New York City. Next was Philadelphia, Independence Hall and Valley Forge. Niagara Falls and crossed over into Canada They enjoyed the Ford Museum and in New York they saw the Russian exhibit of farm machinery, automobiles, fashions and electronics. They spent three days in New York. In returning they followed the pioneer trail. On Sun- day evening the boys each gave a talk in meeting each telling about a different part of the trip Each recommended the trip highly to all others who might be eligible to go another year The students who went will have a reunion in September.
