Saturday morning, Mar. 16, marks the start of this years order taking for five varie. ties of Girl Scout cookies. Robert Mrs. Lambert, chairman of the Utah Girl Scout cookie committee, said, This years sale will run from March 16.23. She said, delivery of the cookies will be Apr. 22 to May 4. Each year in March local citizens are given an oppor. tunity to support the Girl Scout camping program by their pur. chases of cookies. Proceeds from the sale go toward lm. provement and maintenance of the various camps inthecoun. cil. Camp Cloud Rim near Park City, Camp Red Cliffe in Ogden canyon, Tre. foil Ranch in Provo canyon, Ashley. Havens near Camp Vernal, Mt. Dell Farmhouse in Pat leys canyon and Echoing Pines Camp near McGill, Nev. In addition, cookie funds help to provide financial assis. tance to hundreds of qualified Girl Scouts wishing to attend these camps. Proceeds help to send Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts to regional and national events on the basis of competitive excellence.
