Social hours followed the early dinner. Mrs. T. Litizzette, Mrs. Harry Clark, Mrs. Roger Reynolds and Mrs. John Buchanan motored to Grand Junction Friday to attend the highway celebration. They had an enjoyable visit with many former Helperltes now residing before rein that community turning home Sunday evening. A number of Helper high school students were honored by fellow classmates In their elections to principal offices of the student body and class organizations at annual elections held the past week. Three of the most important offices in the student body were given to Helperltes, while the graduating class placed Helper students in four of their 6 class oflces. Helper boys were chose presidents of the Junior and Sophomore classes, and a Castle Gate youth was given the Freshman presidency. John Corey of Castle Gate was named president of the Carbon student body. Mary Rlcci of Hel per was elected and two other local girls, Kath-ery- n Dart and Mary Vleta were named to the respective offices of debating manager and chairman of the board of control. George Patterick was elected to the office of senior class president, Frank Sillito, Elizabeth Martlnelll, secretary and treasurer and Lavon Huff, debating manager. The Juniors chose Frank Inul of Helper for their president, and named Harry the sophomores Clark, Jr., of Helper as president. Harry was also chosen of the Carbon county band.
