Cost is $1 per person. The class is designed to help parents find ways to relax and enjoy the experience of Christmas. Mrs. Karla Erickson of Bountiful will be the workshop leader. She is the author of three books: Take Time to Smell the DandelYour Kids, and Invest in the Best ions, Kids in the Kitchen. Mrs. Erickson has her degree in English from Utah State University, has written for newspapers and magazines and is noted for her lectures. She is the mother of five children in ages from 10 months to 12 years. The program is designed to help parents take the time to appreciate the true spirit of Christmas by expressing love, appreciation and spending time with each family member. Residents are urged to clear their yards of unsightly rubbish during the week and put out items such as boards, pieces of metal and small tree stumps that do not exceed 50 pounds in weight in disposable containers. The special pickup will take place the day after residents put out their household garbage for collection and items for the special pickup should be set out on the parking strip the night before. This is a one day only pickup and citizens are urged to follow the pickup schedule. Hill Airmen Sponsor ta Drive To Help Needy Popular Fall Fabrics Sub-for-San- HILL FIELD Airmen at Hill Air Force Base will be sponsoring a program for needy families this year. Jerry Delima, public affairs liaison for the project, said that it is already in process. Donation of toys, books, dolls and other items that children from birth to 18 years old would enjoy are being accepted, Delima said. After cleaning and repairing the toys, department directorates will be distributing them to indigent families. The families will be identified by the Salvation Army in Weber County and the Davis County Community Action Program.
