Show NEW SUGAR RATION RULES ISSUED T h re e important regulations deal ng with sugar rationing are announced this week by the' Denver Den-ver regional Office of Price Au-jteiibtration.. Au-jteiibtration.. : i irs-L Farmers who board additional ad-ditional seasonal labor will b? granted extra sugar allowances at the rate of half a pound a week per person. In making out his application to hnis local board the farmer must state that the war ration books of his hired men have been or will be sur-rended sur-rended to him and will not be used by him, or, that his hired men have no books. The order was intended to cover threshers, corn buskers, silo fillers and other oth-er workers whom a farmer employs em-ploys and boards in addition to his own family to work on the annual harvest. Second. Public and charitable institutions, which in the past canned fruit for on-the-preraise consumption, will be granted sugar sug-ar allowances for canning on a basis similar to that of cosumers who are living in their own homes. Third. The proceedure for obtaining ob-taining sugar allowances to be followed fol-lowed by operators of new restaurants, restaur-ants, cafeterias, boarding houses hous-es and other types of institutions was announced. The gereral con-dit.ons con-dit.ons under which such allotments allot-ments may be made by local war price and rationing boards have been set forth and OPA has established es-tablished a sugar allotment base for new establishments of net each sixty meals to be served dur-more dur-more than one pound of sugar for ing an allotment period. |
