People Of Rich Count? and Lower Bear River Valley Volume 20 Number 19 tPUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election will be held in Rich County School District, Rich County, State of Utah, on the 24 day of June,- 1947, at which election there shall be submitted to the registered voters who have paid a property tax within said district, during the year next preceding such election, the following question, .Shall the Board of Education of Rich County School District, Rich County, State of Utah, be authorized to issue and sell bonds of the 'district in the amount of One Hundered Thousand Dollars ($100,000), in. denominations of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) each, bonds numbered one to one hundered (100), both inclusive, to bear interest at the rate of .two and per cent per annum, said bonds to mature in numerical order Five Thousand Dollars - ($5,000) in each of the years 1950 to 1965, both inclusive, and Ten Thousand Dolllars ($10,000) in each of the years 1966 and 1967, without option of prior payment, for the purpose of raising money for purchasing one or more school sites, for building or purchasing one or more school houses and supplying the same with furniture Mr. and Mrs. Dale Brooker and daughter Pamela Jean and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Calder and daughter, all of Salt Lake were visiting in town' during the holiday week end. Willis and Kent Benson, both employed in Brigham City spent the week end here- at their home. The Archie Sims family of Mantua spent several days visitings in town with the Thomas Hodges and Thos. Sims families. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Minor visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. DeVerl Whittington. Ernest Woffinden of Layton spent the week end in town. Mrs. Woffinden and daughters remained for a longer visit at the Thos. Sims home. Mrs. Annie Frazier has gone to Ely, Nevada, for a short visit with her daughter, Mrs. Sybil Laird and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Frazier spent several days of this week at Salt Lake visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Huffaker, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Tingey and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dean attended the pageant in Salt Lake Friday, They all enjoyed it very much. Thursday a pecial centennial program was given by the school children for the entertainment of parents. It was very well given and those attending it very much. All boys and girls were dressed in pioneer costumes. The teachers are to he complimented for thir splendid work with the boys and girls. The school closed Friday, May 23rd for summer vacation. The boys and girls were really happy about it and the teachers also. The Commencement exercises for the graduates of South Rich was held Friday evening at 8 oclock in the Randolph chapel. A very fine program was given by the graduates. A dance m the recreation hall was given at the close of 'the program.; Grace Hadley's orchestra of Ogden furnished the music.
