All Sunday night J, R. Boshard, Harry Boshard, Herbert Pyne and W. D. Roberts Jr. formed a pleasant serenading sere-nading party and at the coming of the morning hours heralded the coming of the New Year. Their friends appreciate appreci-ate their remembrance, and would onlv be pleased to have the opportunity opportun-ity of welcoming them more frequently. Come again gentlemen. " Richard Aley, Bert. Thurman, Ben. Schwab, Dave Westwood, Herman Martin, Alex. Hedquist Jr., Will Lee and Brig. Johnson formed a happy coterie of New Year callers yesterday. Olson's band was engaged, together with a "bus and four," from Nelson's stables and thus equipped they visited a host of their friend3, left their cards and wished them the compliments com-pliments of the season. Those favored with a visit were only too glad to haye the pleasure of entertaining them, and contributing to their enjoyment. It was noon time when their New Year's pilgrimage was commenced, and at 5 p. m. their journey was not completed. The following are a few of those who received a visit from the "Knights of the N. Y.:" Drs. Richards, Taylor and Hardy, Reed Smoot, George Sutherland, "Will and Sam King, J. W. Pike, Dr. Pike, Mr. Beck, Mr. Pemberton and Mr. Moore, Mr, Carroll, Mr. Sam Schwab, Major Berry and many others. It was indeed a happy New Year commencement commence-ment for the boys, we hope it will continue con-tinue until the end. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Irvine chaperoned a gay party of musicians and sweet sincere on Sunday night and Monday morning for the affair went on from 10:30 p. m. to 4 a m. on a peripatetic serenade, au pied, through the streets. The Blush and discomfort was something some-thing awful but the sweet singers stood to their work all night. The following composed the happy band of merry chaunters, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Irvine.
