Show THE RED WING OF BINGHAM although the red wing of bingham has been modestly sawing wood and has been pursuing the even tenor of its way during the past six months the showing in the mine at the present time is a very gratifying one indeed to those who have been watching the development of this valuable property according to estimates made by engineer ewing a body of ore is now blocked out in the mine in what is known as the lease which will measure feet square and four reet feet thick a goodly portion of which is first class ore the ore shipped by les sees during the first six months of the year amounted to about the consignments consign ments averaging 20 net to the ton estimating that one third of the ore now blocked out in this portion of the mine is first class and will net 20 per ton and that the second class will average net the company has blocked out in the lease ground in addition to this the company has ons jons of galena about forty tons of carbonates and about tons of second class ore in its bins this has all been accomplished since the lessees lessels turned over the property the first of june last and at an expenditure of about 1500 the average assay across the ore face in the mine shows average values of 39 19 per cent lead and 5 ounces silver the first class averages 44 per cent lead 8 ounces silver small gold values and a gratifying excess of iron the officers of the company believe that this ore body will continue through the hill along the intersection of the bedded vein with the black dog fissure which is believed to have something to do with the present ore body taking it all in all the fluture outlook of the red bed wing is most pleasing to all interested in any way with the ultimate outcome of this markham gulch mine |
