Show PROVO- KUTAH) DAILY HERALD, THURSDAY, APRIL 25, 1940 PAGE FIVE SOCIALITE SMARTNESS Delta Theta Chi Celebrated At A colorful semi-formal event of Wednesday evening was the fourth annual birthday dinner-dance of the Epsilon chapter chap-ter of Delta Theta Chi, held at the golf clubhouse. "Paradise Isle" was the theme, and a Hawaiian atmosphere atmos-phere was .suggested through the use of palms and spring flowers and foliage. Lilacs and spring blossoms were in huge clusters on the banquet table, and palm tree cutouts marked the places , - Loraine Kopa, youthful Hawaiian, sang and danced, as she presented vari-colored leis to the guests. Also, the young ladles were given gardenias which : they wore in their hair. Other Hawilan entertainment, in the form of songs and instrumental instrumen-tal music, was furnished by Miss Kopa, . Sterling . Callahan, Ray Hanks, George Lake, Lee Bowman and Frank Goold. Mrs. Gene Whitaker was toast-, toast-, mistress, and a toast "To Romance" Ro-mance" was given by Miss Virginia Hunter, following which Miss Beth Schof ield toasted "Paradise." As Miss Helen Alleman, president, cut the birthday cake, she gave a toast "To the Future." . Miss . Rose Zubeck was - chairman, chair-man, assisted by Miss Helen Alleman, Alle-man, MLss Virginia Hunter, Miss Edith Harrison, Miss Beth Scho-field Scho-field and Miss Neva Hanson.' Dean Taylor, Tay-lor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo S. Taylor of this city, Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple. . The ceremony was performed at noon by Pres. David O. After, the ceremony, members of the bride's family met the wedding wed-ding party, and a dinner was tendered the young couple at the Temple Square hotel.
