Carmel-Ziohighway. The point of the new survey was on the east end, where the state is planning for the big task, and in the change the road will be lengthened about three quarters of a mile. The cost of construction, however, will be lessened. Mr. Erikson stated that blue prints of the change had been made and had been forwarded to the bureau of public roads at Ogden for approval. Upon the approval and acceptance by the bureau of public roads and the state road commission, bids will be asked for the construction of the highway from the Mt. Carmel side for a distance of approximately ten Before Richfield I! It was a masterpiece hroughout and not only students and faculty rejoice over the achievement, but patrons of the school are proud. Salina Quint Falls Dashing floor work and splendid team playing on the part of the Richfield high school basketball team during the last quarter, caused the defeat of the Salina quint last Friday night when' the two met in the regular league schedule. The jinks was with the locals at the last play and try as they might, they could not break the Richfield plays and the game went to the visitors with a score of 28 to 19. Hundreds of fans packed .Social hall where the two contenders met for battle, and a bevy of boys and girls, both from Salina and Richfield, boosting for the respective quints, kept up a continuous cheer until it wa3 necessary for the referee to call a halt, as it interferred with rendering decisions. But this had little effect on the work of Salina at the ending of the game. Starting out the Salina boys were leading slightly and much encouragement was felt that the game would be held here and Salina would, be advanced in the league standing, but the jinks decreed not and the locals standing is yet .250, showing one victory in four games. A small basket, apparently, or one that the ball could hot be landed in, caused the downfall of Salina. Time and time again, the pill, would light, make a complete circuit of the iron rod and then tumble outside. Gee and Nicholson were the stellar players for the locals, Gee gaining ten points, while Nicholson hit it up for six. Christensen, playing right forward for Richfield, was high score man for the visitors, clouting out 12 points during the game. O: Jensen was referee, and F.
