Judging will begin at 9:15 with awards given for the Mayor's Choice, ; Queen's Choice, Best Business Float or entry and Sweepstakes. Nothing can -'be thrown from a moving - entry but items can be 1 passed out on the sides. To receive application, you can call airman Glenda Carter at 785-2289. J The Youth Theater will Present "Robin Hood" this year in the Little Theater in Jhe library. They will add M mances on Saturday. Many people were turned way last year so Chairman y Noziska announced they would like to add the additional performances. "The kids loved it," Stapleton said. According to Stapleton one of the teachers in the District, Dave Cox, heard about Knowledge Bowl and, "thought it might be informative inform-ative for the kids to try." There are four rotating topics, top-ics, humanities, science, history his-tory (next year), and geog raphy (this year). The district gives a little information then students and coaches research for about four months countries, coun-tries, lakes, rivers, mountains, moun-tains, landmarks. "They study a lot of atlasses," Berrett said. The district and the students stu-dents generate questions from the research. Stapleton said the District awards plaques to ' the schools with the top 10 teams, a . plaque for each team, though the placques 1 " Ji ' i QX I'M fPi don't show what rank the schools had within the top 10. Each school is allowed five teams, and last year all five of Lindon's teams were in the top 10. Stapleton says the District is cosidering doing away with the program after this year. Parents interested in commenting on the Knowledege Bowl are urged to write Alpine School District.
