All fruit shipped by organisations operating under the Utah Farm Bureau will bear the la. btL ,. :- BIRD SEASON VILL OPEN TODAY Today September 1, is the opening day for the shooting of upland game birds in Utah. The season durinjg which the birds may be legally taken extends from September 1 to 1 both dates inclusive. The birds which may be killed Include the four varieties of pro use, commonly known as blue grouse or pine hen; ruffed grouse, commonly called willow grouse, drum. mer and pheasant; sagehen; prairie chicken, also called pinnated grouse, and mourning doves. Eight birds may be legally killed iu any one day; and not more than twelve birds for the season. This does not apply to mourning . doves, of which fifteen may - be killed in any one day, and no season limit is fixed.- The department also -will permit per-mit the killing of eight grouse and fifteen mourning doves during the same day. Likewise, the possession of this number of birds will be legaL There will be so open season at .this time on quail or any . other game birds. All counties of the state are open, excepting Uintah county and such game preserves as have been created by legislative enactment and by pro clamation of the commissioner. Be. ginning in the northern part of the state, these game preserves are as follows: Cache state game preserve, Wasatch state game preserve, Mount Ogden game sanctuary, Big Cottonwood Cotton-wood state game preserve. Strawberry valley national game refuge, Heaston game preserve, Timpanogos game preserve, pre-serve, Fish lake state game preserve, Beaver valley game preserve, Paro. wan valley game preserve and the Dixie state game preserve. likewise no shooting will be permitted in ZIon park national monument The 8 tra wherry valley game pre serve comprises the entire watershed tributary to the reservoir, also including in-cluding Indian Creek valley.- All the lands lying east of the valley will be open to shooting, as in former years. The buggy was thrown ap on to the horse which became frighten ed and ran away. Mr. Haag ran af. ter the animal and so did not obtain a glimpse of either the driver or the license number of the car.
