He will be named Fenton Ned DeMill. He arrived at the Sanpete Valley Hospital on March 16, 1989 and weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. Eagle Scouts Jason and Jeremy Peterson, with parents Bruce and Kathryn Peterson. Peterson brothers are awarded Eagle Scout badges Two The baby has twin sisters at home - Jessica and Jackie age -- 3. Pleased grandparents are Fenton and Connie DeMill of Manti and Lorraine Sorensen of Springville. His are Ned and Nita Madsen and Que and Uenna Jones, all of great-grandparen- ts Manti. Jason and Jeremy Peterson, sons of Bruce and Kathryn Peterson of the Ephraim 5th ward, were presented their Eagle Scout awards at a combination scout banquet and court of honor on Feb. 28. Gina Hermansen will wed Walter Wilson in Manti Temple Gina Hermansen, daughter of Morris and Colleen of Ephraim, will marry Walter Wilson, son of Grant M. and Reta Wilson, Orem, Satur- Iler-mans- en day, March 25, 1989 in the Manti LDS Temple. The bride-eleattended Manti High School where she was a Sterling Scholar, Top Templar, and graduated as valedictorian of her class. She is a junior atUtah State University, where she received an award for being Outstanding Junior Math Major." She plans to fin ct ish her degree in math at the University of Alabama, Huntsville. Walter graduated from Orem High School. He attended Ricks College and Utah State University. He received a bachelor in civil engineering and a masters in mechanical engineering. He later served in Lesotho, Africa, with the U.S. Peace Corps. He is currently employed at NASAs Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The couple will reside in Huntsville. Over 150 people attended the baked potato bar dinner. Eighty-fou- r scout awards, merit badges and rank advancements were conferred, which was a great tribute to all the leaders and parents involved. The highlight of the event was the honoring of three Eagle Scouts, including the Peterson brothers and Justin Cherry whose award was previously reported in this paper. Jeremys and Jasons accom- plishments were in reality a joint effort. The two boys worked together, supporting each other through merit badges, rank advancements, and Eagle projects. Jeremy assisted Jason with his project of making chalkboards slates for the elementary school classes. Jason, in turn, worked side by side with Jeremy in planting, landscaping, and caring for a new lilac hedge at the Ephraim Pioneer Park. Jason, the oldest of the two, completed his Eagle Scout requirements only three hours ahead of Jeremy. The competition as well as the motivated them to achieve this honor. Kelvin Jay Beazer Bradley Jay and Sharalyn Slaugh Beazer are pleased to announce the arrival of a little baby boy. Kelvin was born in Logan, Utah on February 23, 1989 and weighed 5 lbs. 13 12 ounces. dark-haire- d This is the 13th grandchild for proud grandparents, Keith and Shirley Beazer of Ephraim, and the fourth grandchild for Wade and Sylvia Slaugh of Vernal. Paternal Three Young Women in the Ephraim Stake received their Young Womanhood Recognition Awards recently. Manti Temple wedding will unite Jennifer Johnson, Ronald Jensen Jennifer Delight Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Johnson of Huntington and Ronaid Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jensen, Sterling, were married March 18, 1989 in the Manti LDS Temple. Friends and relatives are invited to an open hpuse in their honor from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sterling Ward Chapel on Friday, March 24th. Jennifer has been attending Snow College for the last two years. Upon graduation she plans to continue her education at Utah State University. Ronald has attended Snow College. He has been employed for many years at the Jensen farm in Sterling. Anderson Ephraim Amy Schuring, Cimberly D. Anderson and Stacie Marie Madsen were honored at the New Beginnings program held Feb. 26. Amy Schuring, a daughter of Joe and Ireta Schuring was one of the honorees. A special slide tribute was presented in the evening program honoring Amy. Amy is a senior at Manti High School, kept stats for the wres- tling team and has participated in Drill Team, F1IA and mixed chorus. She is serving as secretary of the Laurels class, has certified as an Adventurer at girls camp, where she was a youth leader. Cimberly D. Anderson, daughter of David and Sandra R. Anderson. She is an active member of the Ephraim 1st Ward, is now serving as second counselor in her Laurel class. She enjoys doing things with her family and friends. Her hobbies are drawing and trying out new recipes on her family. She has been enrolled in seminary for four years and is a J member of the FI IA club at Manti High. She loves to go out and support her team at all the games. Stacie Marie Madsen, is a daughter of Steven and Judy Madsen, a member of the Ephraim 1st Ward. Stacie is a senior at Manti High School and on the honor roll. She has participated in Drill Team, FIIA, mixed chorus and is in her fourth year of Semi- Manti ,911 Ephraim - Crisis Hot-Lin- e are ts Max and Doris Hansen of Manti. great-grandparen- ts are Vera Snow and Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Slaugh of Vernal. Bret Richard Smith Born to Rick and Marsha Smith of Salt Lake City, a baby boy. He was born Feb. 20, 1989 and weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. He will be named Bret Richard. He was welcomed by a little sister, Kirsten and a little brother, Michael. His grandparents are Levi and Helen Hansen ofManti and Helen Smith of Bountiful and Bert Smith of Salt Lake. Layton, are the proud parents of an 8 lb. 11 oz son born at a Layton Hospital on March 17, 1989. An older brother, Eric, is glad for his new brother. Mr. and Mrs. Lee R.
