Dr. Bowerman discussed Washington's early llfo. showing- how it prepared tho man for tho futuro, and how Washington Washing-ton took advantage of nil opportunities. Tho class In lead smelting has boon running run-ning tho Jcad blast furnace for about forty-eight hours. The efforts of the class havo been highly successful in securing se-curing a good quantity of lead, which alHO carries high gold and silver values. The present run of the blast furnace Is said to be the best that has ever beon conducted at tho school. It Is expected that tho furnace will be "blown out'' somo time Saturday afternoon, unless the supply of oro docs not run out before' this time. |
