It is hardly probable that tho entire line as planned will be completed for, some years to come; that is, a con- nection with tho main line nt Nysaa. Or., but there is no doubt that the connection con-nection between Saline and Hurley will bo completed at the earliest possible dale, and this will mean a saving of some forly miles bet-ween Salt Utkc and Ogden and all points In southern and southwe.Mcrn Idaho reached by the present Twin Falls branch. The Unes leaves the Luclu cutoff at Saline, -which Is near the end of the promontory, and runs along the wept side of the promontory to a crossing: of the older Central Pacific line at a point west of the old station called Promontory. It will travorso the Raft river country and open a fine section en route and thon join the present Twin Falls line at Bur-ley Bur-ley station. From Buhl the present line will be exi ended Into the Bnmcnu country, coun-try, thus opening the richest portion of jnuihwestern Idaho, sjid will contlnuo along tho south side of the river to yesa. As stated, it will he some tlm-- hufore the entire system is completed, but that portion Into Idnho will be built at once, thus developing: a vast area in the wonderful won-derful state.
