The water so stored was to have been released from eaid reservoir dur ing the period from April 1 to October inclusive of each year, and conveyed onto 280 acres of land embraced in Sections 28 and 29, Township 13 south, Range 4 west. Salt Lake base and meridian, where it was to have been used for irrigation purposes. Said application was approved by the State Engineer October 21, 1907, and one and one-ha- lf years allowed by,him in which to complete works and make proof of appropriation of water. The time has since been extended to July 17, 1909. The application was in error as to the description of the point of diversion. The appropriation of the water has been completed as originally contemplated and the proof thereof made. The proof shows that the point of di version is located at a point which bears north 23 degrees 35 minutes west 436 feet from the east quarter comer of Section 28, Township 13 south, Range 4 west, Sait Lake base and meridian, from which point it will be conveyed to said reservoir, from where it will be released and conveyed to the lands above described, and there used as originally intended. The applicant now desires to amend the application so that no discrepancy will appear between it and the proof of appropriatien. Thi application is designated in the State Engineer's office as No. 1097. All protests against the granting of the proposed amendment, stating the reasons therefor, must be made by affidavit in duplicate and filed in this office within thirty (30) days after the completion of the publication of this notice. The wives and "best girls" of the members of the Modern Woodmen gave them the surprise of the season Wednesday evening. When the members arrived to attend their regular meeting they were confronted with long tables loaded with all the dehc acies of the culinary art. Aftef the feast, they all adjourned to Pay's hall, where dancing was enjoyed until a late hour. Between dances, L. P. Anderson, the lodge's vocalist, favored them with several good songs.
