Show Friday, October 24, 1952 GARFIELD LEADER, GARFIELD, UTAH akAJUHttU Two Local Ladies Attend Leadership School at UAC Leadership School for women, by the USAC Extension Service was held at the Utah State Agricultural college campus during October The school was open to rural leaders of all of the counties in the state. About 200 women were present. Among those attending from Salt Lake County were Mrs. Alyce Hendrickson and Mrs. El-- ) mina Toone, representing Oquirrh Stake Relief Society. These women rrported that they received a wealth of home-- ! making information that will be given to the women of this area. The extension staff gave courses in foods and nutrition, clothing, home management, leadership, child growth and gardening. The time at the school was very profitable. Many Christmas ideas were furnished by the staff. Flower arrangements were demonstrated by Mr. Fred Augsburger and Mrs. Dorothea Newbold of this county. Mrs. Larsen died of a heart attack Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at her residence at Monterey Park, California. She was born May 12, 1878 at ML Pleasant, Sanpete County, a daughter of A. P. and Caroline Oman. She was married to Henry Larsen in ML Pleasant. Surviving are her husband, Monterey Park; two sons and a daughter, Paul Larsen, Los AnMrs. Betty Alexander, geles; Monterey Park; Ned Larsen, Alhambra, Cal.; Tive grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. H. N. Fletcher, Pasadena, Cal; Mrs. Ida McCann, Midvale and Mrs. Anna Schoonover, Holly, Cola Mrs. Larsen will be remembered by many older people of this community.
