STONEY, - The following suggestions are sub mitted with the hone that they will aid in limiting as well as preventing an out break in our city of this dreadful disease which caused f the deaths 40'T during the month of August. Typhoid is an infectious and com luunicable disease and if you carry out preventive- measures properly no 'other measures would be required. Let me say now every ease of TYPHOID FEVER result from failure to disinfect the discharges from a former case. Typhoid germs gain entrance into the system thru contaminated water or food. Wat er becomes contaminated through drainage from infected privy vaults or from the suiface of the ground where typhoid genus have been de posited. In case of typhoid in your home all excreta should be buried, (lies should be destroyed and exelud from the sick room, all soiled linen should be placed immediately in boiling water and sec that yo'tir attendants bathe their hands ficquent ly in antiseptic soultion. Now I suggest if you have not sufficient amount of lime about 3'our premises use ashes in your outhous es frequently, and this if used frequently will pi event the deadly germ carriers (ELI ES) from contain innting the water and food of your own home as well as others, and thereby be the means of saving more than one life. ' For Her Childs Sake, the great est of Soul hern Comedy Dramas by Miss Marion Ford,, under the management of Win Wamsher, will bo the next attraction at the Tooele Opera house, on Sept 20, 21, and 22. It is a very beautiful love story of the Sunny South. There are many thrilling scenes, but it is not all drama, as it contains a fund of wit and humor of the right sort. The producing company, with Miss Zellncr in the aiding role, is a capable ore, and arrangements are being made which will insure an ad iquate presentation of the drama. The scenic effects ami costumes are grand. A carefully selected compa ny will support Miss Zollner, who is oro of the popular favorites of the large eastern cities. The play will be given with every necessary detail of stage - HEALTH t If will PAY you to Our Sprint: Line LOOK OVER 11 and eyry7k;i;g fsesh and Her Soft Answer. The Borer. Sometimes these borers are vc-- numerous and do a great amount of damage, then tlmy will be scarce, which goes to show that they are the prey of active enemies. These periodical visits are far enough apart to cause many to mistake the borer for a new insect. The adult is a moth with a spread of wings measuring about an iuch and The larva is inoie than an inch long and Amber in color. Such an insect is not easily controlled. Spraying will obviously have little effect upon it. The chief means of fighting it must be preventive. one-half- . mm ii C.q,n?5 oreen, Manager, liB laftr-Mal- ll Tiicairical First G! resit Performance from 7:30 to q; second performance from g to io;3 SlD,vrisrg!s' 10 Gents EAiiK IN OTFICE Admission For Sal.e Dr. L.
