' City Briefs Ina VVilklns of Provo, a student at the Utah State Agricultural college at Logan is a member of the chorus in the opera "Martha" to be presented three nights. She sings second soprano. Frank B. Taylor, was recently graduated from the air forces technical school at Lowry field, Colo., according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Taylor. The Provoan is now being sent to Florida. Veral S. Perry, carpenters mate third class, U. S. Navy, is home on leave to visit relatives and friends. He is accompanied by his wife, the former Nelda Stevens, and they are at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Perry. Per-ry. Perry has a 17-day leave and will return to his base in San Diego, Calif. Haddock, Brigham Young university graduate of 1930, has boen appointed as soil chemist at the Washington State College, at Pullman, Washington, according to word received by Dr. Thomas L. Martin. Dr. Haddock will report to Washington State May 1. He is a native of Bloomington, Idaho and took an agronomy major at B. Y. U. Receiving his Ph. D. at Iowa State College in 1940, he has worked as an extension agronomist agrono-mist in the New Hampshire State college.
