The State Road commission granted the wishes of the Com missioners and advised that a surveying party would be sent here next week to do the preliminary pre-liminary survey work. Spring City will get their mile of cement beginning at a place near Bishop Allred's residence res-idence and running northward. Editor's note: There is some exciting comments, kicks and criticisms among some of the people of Spring City because there still lingers a feeling of distrust, superstition or something some-thing of the kind because the mayor of Spring City could not be reached personally by phoii'; Ithe very minute we were in-formed in-formed 'that NOW was the time to ask. The fault of the whole upheavel in Spring City is, that the Mayor of that town hasn't any telephone in his home, and he couldn't be found with paging him over the streets of Spring City. Better get a telephone Mr. Mayor, or an ox-team. Get something so the outside world can communicate with you. |
