D CARPENTER Manti Utah I read with interest your notice notice notice no no- tice to the taxpayers which stated that the South Sanpete School District is not able to meet some of their obligations Public awareness I believe builds a better society and so below below below be be- low is listed some questions I would like you to answer relative relative relative rela rela- tive to the financial problems of the School District 1 When the bonding proposals were put before the taxpayers the School Board gave the impression impression impression im im- im- im that the bonds could be paid off as the bonds come due Now that the bonds are due why isn't there money to pay them off Be specific 2 Have cash flow projections been made before each bonds proposal 3 If cash flow projections have been made why haven't they been followed 4 Will future bonds that come due be paid off on time 5 WHY WAS THIS FINANCIAL C CRISIS R I S I S NOT BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION ATTEN ATTEN- ATTENTION TION OF THE TAXPAYERS SOONER 6 Is it possible to cut expenditures expenditures expenditures in other areas in order that the School District can meet their present obligations without issuing refunding bonds Your cooperation in answering the above questions and helping to keep the public informed of the problems of their School District is appreciated WILLIAM E.
