Show NAVAJO TRAIL ADDED ROAD the elate state road commission in sea aion slon monday recommended to secretary of agriculture that the na ajo jo trail in utah be added to the fed oral ral highway system in this state a secondary federal aid project road as described starts at moab junction and runs couth south through moab monticello and thence east to colorado state line a distance of miles the state board had previous submitted its the federal highway system in utah with ith the exception of miles and the roads recommended have been approved by the secretary of agriculture the road commission since that time has been makine making an investigation of additional roads in utah with a view of dete determining mining their relative importance so that the additional miles of federal aid road allowed utah could be submitted to the government the board at its meeting this week decided that the navajo trail connecting as it does with southwestern estem colorado and furnish furnishing a direct route to the mesa verde park paric and a connection with new mexico and anzona arizona should be designated as a part of the federal highway system of the state and it so recommended to the secretary of agn agriculture cultum only roads which have been designated a part of the fates states federal highway system are re eligible a to receive ceide federal aid id funds |
