Poe, representative of the Crusade For Freedom Movement. The latter told of the plans to fight communism with the power of truth, and a spontaneous demonstration tf freedom's principles from the American people. Mr. Poe said, "W must combat the Big Lie with the Big Turth." Mr. Toronto, featured speaker at the meeting, pointed out that the Czech people loved freedom free-dom as much as the Americans, but that they had been overwhelmed over-whelmed by the powerful communist com-munist movement. The Czech equivalent of the chamber of cordmerce was eliminated the first day of the communist coup, Mr. Toronto said. Next, the .r-ommunists came in the night and took small businessmen business-men away 'from their homes because be-cause they were "security threats to the new regime." Their businesses were taken over without remuneration to the owners in any way. POWER OP 5 PER CENT The communists accomplished accomplish-ed their 'Czech coup with about five per cent of the people actively ac-tively in favor of them, Mr. Toronto said. , This illustrates how well organized they are, and how terribly effective are their methods. If we can win quickly in Korea, we may see the people of Europe revolt against their communist aggressors, ag-gressors, Mr. Toronto said. |
